Local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
GLM is a drop off site for farm fresh produce!! Thanks to the people working at Farm Fresh to You, it is now very easy for GLM families and teachers to buy organic produce locally. All you have to do is go to www.farmfreshtoyou.com and create your personal account. They have a great website. Choose whichever type of box you would like to get (small, large, just fruit, only veggies, no nuts, etc.) and then make sure to put 476 Chetwood Street, Oakland, CA 94610 as the drop off site. This address is actually Helen’s house. Please copy and paste the following in the drop off description area:

The cross street is Santa Clara Ave. Place box at the bottom of the driveway. There is usually a Blue van parked in the driveway. If any problems arise email Ms. Jensen at jjensen@grandlakemontessori.com.
Pamphlets about the farm are located outside of Joanna’s office.
Please note: Any GLM family or teacher who signs up with FFTY (Farm Fresh to You) will receive a $2. discount on the normal price. Boxes must be delivered to the 476 Chetwood St. address and you must make the initial order by phone and say, “I am using Grand Lake Montessori for my drop-off and would like the $2. discount.” Discount does NOT apply to the $25.00 box.
*GLM recognizes that there have been many requests for numerous different farm boxes. After much research into CSA farms, we have decided to go with Farm Fresh to You because of the high quality and dependability they have demonstrated when delivering the school’s fruit this year. Additionally, the other farms that parents have suggested cannot provide our school with enough produce. Small farms are very busy these days. We are confident you will not be disappointed with the CSA we have chosen.
