SUMMER PROGRAM
Session 4, August 2 – 13
Calendar of upcoming summer assemblies & events:
Monday, August 2 – Jumper, all day
Thursday, August 5 – Jeremy the Juggler @ 10am
Tuesday, August 10 – Wizard School of Magic @ 10 am
Friday, August 20 – Jumper, all day
The children have been enjoying their summer activities at GLM. We have been taking advantage of the warm afternoons for water play, and the shady arbor for clay works.
Last week Leopards, Etc. came to the school, and brought some very special guests. We saw a Canada lynx, a caracal, an ocelot, a baby mountain lion, and a cheetah! We learned that wild cats with spots are all endangered species, that ocelots have extremely flexible wrists, a running cheetah can hit 70 mph, 14 week old baby mountain lions like to bite, and there are people with special licenses who can breed endangered cats to send to zoos, or groups like Leopards, Etc.
Our return guest, Jeremy the Juggler, will be here this Thursday, August 5th, at 10 am for an all-school assembly. Jeremy is quite remarkable. He rides a uni-cycle while juggling and folding origami of his own design! He is very high-energy and the kids really enjoy his visits! Be sure to join us for this entertaining show!
