Liz graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a minor in Human Development and Education. She began her teaching career in New Jersey and then went on to receive her Masters in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Liz, a Connecticut native, later moved to the Bay Area and completed her AMI Primary Montessori training with Montessori Northwest. Liz was originally drawn to the Montessori method for the way it permits children to unfold along a natural course of development and make discoveries for themselves. She views her role as a Montessori teacher is to honor and value each child for exactly who they are, and guide them towards an even greater version of themselves. Liz joins the Jacaranda teaching team in her sixth year of teaching. Outside of school, Liz fulfills her creative energies through crafting, baking, and gardening, and she enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing.
